It all started…

In the summer of 2017 when my close friends Heidi and Philip were hosting a garden party complete with live music. I was in the kitchen with my good friend Joel pressing handmade tortillas and feeding tacos to anyone passing through.  Annee Martin, a local hospitality entrepreneur, handed me her business card as she was leaving and asked if I would cook for her New Years Eve party in a few months. It would be a taco bar for 80 guests. I had no business, no team, no pricing, nada. When Annee followed up a month later with a formal request which prompted me to call my childhood best friend and fellow dreamer, Matt Jones, to work on a business name and logo – Edible Ambassador was born.

“I love people and I love food.”

My friends sometimes tease me about my enthusiasm and how much I love to socialize.  I find myself especially curious to learn about new ingredients, techniques and flavors. Thanks to my parents, my dad especially, delicious food has often been the center of our travels.  Outside of the kitchen, my first career was as a Neuromuscular Therapist with a private practice in Carmel Valley for 10 years. I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, boogie boarding and bring that same sense of adventure into my career as a chef. I am constantly exploring new recipes and surrounding myself with passionate culinary and hospitality-minded people.

Sincerely,

Steven Siglin
